Taking Risks in Life

When was the last time you took a risk? Should you take the risk?

Risks are scary, they take you into the unknown and take you outside of your comfort zone.

It is easy to go through life without taking any risks, becoming too comfortable and living your life in your normal routine...but are you really living your life to your full potential?

You may be scared that taking a risk could end up in disaster and you may regret taking that risk, but how will you feel when you are old and grey and you never know if that risk may have changed your life for the better.

Yes, risks are uncertain and they may not always work out, but that is the excitement of taking a risk. If the risk doesn't pay off at least you tried and you will learn something from the experience.

For most risks, there will be a positive and there must but an element of passion if you are considering taking a risk. You need to weigh up what is more important to you.

What is the worst that can happen? I bet the worst case scenario isn't that bad and you will be able to pick yourself back up and start again if it does go pear-shaped.

So, if it's changing careers, starting a family, quitting your job to travel, leaving a relationship, or even starting a new one...just go for it.

I am a strong believer that you don't get far in life without taking risks and playing it safe is boring (to me anyway).

So unless taking the risk could seriously hurt yourself or someone else, I think you should write that letter of resignation, have a baby or buy that one-way plane ticket. We only live once, so why not take the risk and live your life with no regrets.
